Straps Digging Into Shoulders

In Problems and Solutions on July 27, 2010 at 6:04 pm

Problem:

Band is too big.

The reason your bra straps are digging into your shoulders is because you are wearing a bra that is to big in the band or you bra is old and it is time for you to go bra shopping.  The band size is the number (28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, ….).  Your band does all of the lifting and support and that is why it is very important that your band be comfortably snug, not loose.

Solution:

Go down in your band size.

If you are wearing a 40C, try a 38D.

If you are wearing a 36DD, try a 34 DDD.

If you are wearing a 38DDD, try a 36G.

If you are wearing a 34C, try a 32D.

Note: When you change your band size, you have to change your cup size.  If  you go down in the band size, go up in the cup size.  If you go up in the band size, go down in the cup size.

The cup size will get smaller as the band size goes down, and the band size will get larger as the cup increases.
